2008 Childcare Professional
Appreciation Day

One of the most exciting things we do as an association is to have a great day of
fun and learning at Child Care Professionals Appreciation Day.  
Ok, what is one word that would describe Day Care Appreciation Day this
year......... PHENOMENAL!!!  Every year keeps getting better and better.  We
had so many businesses donate to us this year that it was overwhelming.  This
was my second year on the Donation Committee and thanks to help from other
providers, we had many more donations than last year.  I could not get over how
many goodies were given away....I know that everyone walked away with
something great.  It was wonderful that Susan Copsey and Joy Robertson from
CCA came out and had breakfast with us; I think they really like us :)

The raffle table had many great items, the toy exchange table was HUGE, and
Miss Elly had a very nice Spring craft table set up.

Our first speaker, Mrs. Bonnie, was very energetic and I think she did a great job
with her Child Development presentation.

Lori, from Educate and Celebrate came out and gave us a great hands-on craft
class and donated all the supplies needed.

The cooking class was superb!!!  I know that a lot of us are usually ready for a
nap after lunch but Mr. Derek kept us awake and having fun.  

I am so glad that I am a part of an exceptional organization that not only helps
each other out, but also looks out for others.  

The donation table for Birth Right was overflowing with gifts brought in by all the
providers.  I helped Miss Elly load that stuff in her station wagon; and let me say,
you could not even fit a tub of wipes in there, it was that packed.

I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed this special day because it takes a lot of
hard work and effort by many people to make it as "Special" as it was.  Thank
You Bonnie for all you do for this organization.........YOU’RE THE BEST!
